Call for Classic Christmas Cards at Clare Museum
Clare Museum will be hosting a temporary vintage Christmas cards exhibition for the 2025 Christmas season. The exhibition will run from Tuesday, December 2, 2025, to Saturday, January 3, 2026, inclusive.
If you have any vintage cards that you would be willing to loan to the museum for this exhibition; please email claremuseum@clarecoco.ie with details of your cards, any personal story or memory that goes with them, and an image of the cards.
The closing date for submissions is November 28. Accepted cards will be returned at the end of January 2026.
Cards submitted must be in good condition and dating to the 20th century – 1999 or earlier. A card with a good story about where it came from, and what it means to the owner, will be particularly welcome. Accepted cards will be exhibited alongside Clare Museum’s own collection of cards, which can be viewed at: www.claremuseum.ie/explore/categories/communication-equipment.
Clare Museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, between 9:30am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm, from October to May. Admission is free. For full details of opening times, as well as more information regarding Clare Museum and the exhibition, visit: https://claremuseum.ie
